Alexander combines the best of both worlds: he is an entrepreneur as well as a computer scientist. As an alumnus from the University of Economics and Business in Vienna and a computer-science graduate from Bolzano’s technical high school, he combines both the technical know-how required to create an advanced Social Network on the Blockchain and the economic expertise required to run a successful company.
During his high school years, Alexander and his schoolmate (now partner) Maximilian were running a small eBay Shop, where they resold digital goods such as Beta keys from the USA in the EU. In the course of this, he first learned about Bitcoin. As he has always been passionate about new technologies, Alexander first invested in Bitcoin in 2014.
Being fascinated by that technology ever since Alexander and Maximilian (who is now his roommate too) started to build a private mining farm in their apartment. Right now, the mining farm consists of 36 GPUs. Currently, Alexander is working on two different projects: Coinpanion, a social crypto trading website which enables users to directly mirror other users’ trade, and Capture Network, a new reward-based social network for the wider public.
He is also working as a community manager for the blockchain dating app hicky.io. The idea for Capture Network arose when he and his friend were discussing the potential of SteemIt and what would be possible if it appealed to the mainstream. As Alexander is not one to leave a great opportunity untouched, he and his friend decided to launch their own ICO
