Maximilian has always been interested in tech since a very young age. Together with his brother he started gaming at the age of 4 and went on to build his own computer at the age of nine. He later decided to pursue his passion and chose to go to a technical high school with a focus on computer science.
There he started a small eBay shop, together with his schoolmate Alexander (now partner), where they resold digital assets like Beta accesses from USA in the EU.
During the last two years of high school he started to find an interest in cryptocurrencies as he believed that it is the currency of the future, due to its transparency and high rate of security. But being too young and scared of losing money Maximilian never got invested.
This changed with his first year at the University of Economics and Business. Ethereum started to skyrocket and mining was in everyone’s mouth, so he and Alexander who is also currently his roommate decided to build their own little mining farm in their apartment. He took most of his savings to build a mining farm, consisting of 36 GPUs.
Cryptocurrencies and the platforms around them never stopped intriguing Maximilian, which led him to the social media platform SteemIt. He believed that the founders of SteemIt where on to something amazing, but also thought that their ecosystem and the topics discussed on the network where too complicated for the everyday user. This sparked the idea to create a social network for the mainstream, based on the principles SteemIt, called Capture Network.
